**Organization Overview**

The mission of The Warehouse is to create a collaborative culture to revolutionize teen engagement in Wilmington with the vision of developing confident, courageous, and contributing young adults ready to take the next step in their lives. We will create a physical safe space and network of support for Wilmington teens while nurturing a “Culture of Opportunity” that stands in opposition to the culture of poverty and violence they currently encounter in their lives. To accomplish this, The Warehouse will bring together youth-serving partner organizations providing services focused on recreation, education, arts, career exploration, and health.

**Position Summary**

The Receptionist is responsible for serving as a liaison between the Teen Warehouse and the general public, performing general clerical and project-based work, and assisting with enrollment and program operations. This position is responsible for providing clerical support to the accounting office, programs, and other departments as needed. Performance of this work requires initiative, creativity, attention to detail, and the exercise of independent judgment.

**Essential Functions**

**Greeting and Welcoming Guests**
- Greet and direct clients, responding to inquiries in person or on the telephone. Monitor and track entry and exits and maintain sign-in logbooks
- Implement safeguards to enhance security by following procedures, monitoring sign-in logbook, and staying abreast of participant contact and emergency data.
- Interface with the Safety and Security team via two-way radio and intercom as needed.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.

**Administrative Support**
- Assist with coordinating meetings, events, calendars and rentals, arranging for any special needs relating to events/meetings (food, audio/visual equipment, printed materials, etc.).
- Ensure that the front desk and lobby is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Perform general clerical duties such as copying, scanning, mailing, and filing.
- Assist with agency administrative functions around purchasing, invoices, documentation of expenses, and collecting and posting payments; record data for billing purposes.
- Order and maintain supplies and/or equipment, prepare purchase requisitions (as needed); responsible for safeguarding items.

**Recruitment and Intake**
- Assist with the recruitment of participants and families by sharing information about ongoing and upcoming programs, events, and activities.
- Assist with screening and enrollment of participants and the processing of intake materials.

**Scheduling and Coordination**:

- Schedule meetings and appointments.
- Maintain office calendar and schedule rooms as needed.

**Other Duties**:

- Maintain an active understanding of agency programs in order to increase opportunities for support and collaboration.
- Practice continuous learning through individual study, classroom training, seminars, and conferences.
- Assist with other administrative duties as assigned (e.g., data entry, maintaining records, updating contact lists).
