The Human Resources Coordinator role is an integral part of the HR team, supporting a variety of work in the daily operations of the Human Resources department including but not limited to interviewing, recruiting, completing background checks, etc. The HR Coordinator must have a welcoming demeanor, can multi-task, and enforces company policies and practices.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Required to work from South Bay corporate office once a month on a Thursday.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
- Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Serve as the onboarding point of contact, facilitates the new hire orientation, and supports new employees' transition into Dimondale.
- Creates and maintains new hire files and verify documents.
- May be required to attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Provide back-up support to the front desk for lunchtime or sick days, as needed.
- Prepares correspondence, schedule meetings and interviews.
- Maintains employee records, personnel, training, etc.
- Assist HR team members and office/field employees and provide general administrative support.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Experience & Skills Required**:

- Associate degree or higher preferred
- 1+ years of intern or professional experience in a human resources role.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with employees and managers at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment and pitch in as needed.
- Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with MS Office products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

**Requirement**
- Dimondale staff are required to be certified in Pro-ACT (Professional Assault Crisis Training) within one month of being hired, by Dimondale’s certified Pro-ACT Instructor. All Pro-ACT trained staff have demonstrated a full understanding of the guidelines and meet the standard put forth in the training, resulting in their certification in Pro-ACT and/or Pro-ACT restraints.

**What Pro ACT Entails**:
Pro-ACT will describe the principles needed for the de-escalation of a youth in crisis, as trained staff aid the youth back to their baseline. In the event restraint assistance is needed, only Pro-ACT trained staff can perform a restraint based on the following criteria:

- There is a crisis, harm to self or harm to others.
- Ratio is met; two Pro-ACT trained staff required to perform the restrain.
- Staff are able to safely enter into the restraint and maintain the safety of all party’s involved.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
