**Position Description**

In coordination with the Superintendent, develop, plan, manage, and perform high quality maintenance for all aspects of the Aldeen Golf Club Campus including the 18-hole championship bent grass golf course, 26 acre Practice Centre, Illinois Bank & Trust Pavilion grounds and mechanicals, clubhouse, and buildings.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned**

- Administers and monitors daily work assigned for 15-20 seasonal employees providing direction and support as necessary, including assisting with scheduling.

- Assists superintendent to create and supervise a comprehensive training program for all staff to ensure the highest quality maintenance standards are uniformly provided.

**Inspection/Maintenance**
- In coordination with the Superintendent, develop, plan, manage, and perform high quality maintenance for all aspects of the 18-hole championship bent grass golf course, including various ponds and waterways.
- In coordination with the Superintendent, develop, plan, manage, and perform high quality maintenance for all aspects of the 26 acre Practice Centre.
- In coordination with the Superintendent, develop, plan, manage, and perform high quality maintenance for all aspects of the Illinois Bank & Trust Pavilion grounds and mechanicals.
- Assists with the preparation of the Aldeen campus for various tournaments and special events throughout the season.
- In coordination with the Superintendent, monitors and evaluates golf course conditions and inspects for insect and disease infestation, damage to the course, water conditions, and overall playability.
- Applies herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and growth regulations and fertilizers per specified label rates to control insect and disease problems
