Director Duties: - Develop and implement educational programs and activities for children in the child care center. - Oversee the day-to-day operations of the child care center, including staff management, scheduling, and budgeting. - Ensure compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements. - Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children, following health and safety protocols. - Collaborate with parents to address any concerns or issues related to their child's development or well-being. - Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for child care staff. - Create and maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere for children, families, and staff. *Requirements:* -Experience working with children in an educational setting. - Higher education teaching experience or education administration experience preferred. - Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff. - Ability to lead and motivate a team of child care professionals. - Knowledge of licensing regulations and compliance requirements for child care centers. - CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). - Bachelor’s degree in Education with a concentration in Child Development or Early Childhood or related field *Preferred Experience:* -Three years experience as a classroom teacher of young children -Three to five successful years’ experience managing child care facilities -Bilingual is a plus (Spanish and English)
