Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:

- Oversee day-to-day operations of the moving company, including scheduling, routing, and logistics.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Team Leadership:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of moving crew members.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
- Conduct performance evaluations in collaboration with senior management and provide feedback and coaching to staff.
- Conduct interviews in collaboration with senior management of prospective employees (movers and mover/drivers)

Logistics and Planning:

- Coordinate and optimize the use of resources, including vehicles, equipment, and personnel.
- Develop and manage operational budgets in conjunction with senior management, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Become proficient with the moving software to maximize efficiency and meet customer demands.

Customer Service:

- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by monitoring service quality and addressing any issues or complaints promptly.
- Develop strategies to improve customer experience and retention.
- Oversee customer service operations to ensure timely and accurate communication with clients.

Strategic Planning:

- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute long-term business strategies.
- Analyze market trends and operational data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Lead initiatives to expand service offerings and enter new markets.

Performance Monitoring:

- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and operational enhancements.

Sales & Marketing
- Attend BNI meetings weekly
- Post weekly to various social media platforms
- Send postcards to homeowners who list their house for sale
- Monitor customer inquiries from all sales channels
- Perform job estimates as needed

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or 5+ years experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the moving or transportation industry.
- Proven track record of leading and managing teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of logistics and customer service principles.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Aptitude for using logistics software and technology to enhance operational efficiency.
- Clean driving record with no moving violations for the past 7 years

Pay: From $1,100.00 per week
