You will assist the Service Manager in coordinating the functions of the service department to ensure timely completion and delivery of all buses. The Assistant Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and providing technical assistance to the shop.

**Responsibilities**
Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:
- Communicate with Operations Manager and Service Manager to coordinate day-to-day service department operations.
- Responsible for supervising the listed divisions.

- Review new repair orders, determine requirements of repair order and schedule work to be performed.
- Review and maintain all repair order statuses and dates in Sys 2K.
- Ensure all repair orders are opened, closed and cashed out in a timely manner.
- Determine work order priorities for all buses after attending weekly production meetings.
- Coordinate scheduling with parts department.
- Communicate with Service Writers on schedule subcontract vendors, including transportation.
- Communicate with Transportation Coordinator on deliveries and pick up of vehicles to/from customer locations and other demonstration/sales locations making sure drivers have proper training and licensing (including picking up customer payments or trade-in vehicles).
- Oversee bus check-in and release procedures and inventory of all buses.
- Communicates with DMV department, provides information such as weight slip, completion notice, and smog.
- Assist with service department supervision in relation to specific job functions.
- Assist with Hiring and disciplinary actions with service department employees.
- Assist with completion of payroll time sheets and PTO requests.
- Responsible for annual reviews, specific to assigned divisions.
- Communicate with Operations Manager and Service Manager on all aspects of service department workflow, customer, and employee issues.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Job Requirements**:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years’ experience in vehicle repair management
- 2 years’ supervisory experience
- Professional demeanor and cooperative attitude
- Strong customer skills
- Highly Organized
- Good writing and communication skills
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as product and service markups and discounts, proportions and percentages.
- Ability to learn Sys 2K DMS software
**Physical Requirements**
- Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
