Job Overview

Position Summary

The Field Service Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that all client concerns are effectively addressed by overseeing and coordinating the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and machinery in various field locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage the work order management system to plan, assign, and supervise the activities of Field Technicians.
  • Guarantee precise and prompt reporting of customer account interactions.
  • Manage service agreements, direct support operations, and warranty matters.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all local service engagements and customer interactions.
  • Resolve client issues and equipment malfunctions by collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and other relevant teams.
  • Keep service and installation documentation up to date.
  • Assist in defining and achieving departmental objectives.
  • Conduct regular meetings for the service department.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as government safety regulations.
  • Oversee the scheduling and training of field service representatives to enhance their skills and competencies.
  • Develop strategies, guidelines, and policies to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Address incidents and formulate plans to prevent future occurrences.
  • Ensure the service team follows up with clients post-service.
  • Adhere to and uphold all Fairbanks Scales policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience is necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks while managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Aptitude for establishing and maintaining positive business relationships.

Work Environment

  • Typical office conditions with moderate noise levels.

Physical Requirements

  • Must possess close vision and the ability to focus.
  • Regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly; frequently required to sit, stand, bend, and walk.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements for typing and computer work.
  • Requires finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating office equipment.
  • Regular attendance is a critical function of this role.
