Rhoades McKee is seeking a **Legal Assistant to join our Holland team **The primary focus of this position is to assist our attorneys in their transactional processes with administrative tasks and provide our clients with exceptional service.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Prepare and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurate and up-to-date.
- Communicate with clients, including conducting client intake and follow ups.
- Prepare documents and forms by completing initial drafts and processing edits.
- Draft and review legal correspondence including thoroughly proofreading for errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.
- Prepares, issues and handles tracking and disposition of subpoenas or other requests for information.
- Assisting with trial preparation by organizing exhibits and performing other tasks.
- Track case status for events scheduled in assigned cases.
- Communicate with clients regarding the status of their case and to send and receive documents.
- Prepare real estate closing and transfer documents.
- Drafting of deeds, agreements, easements, loan documents, legal descriptions, and other real estate documents.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders in processing real estate title transactions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**:

- Independent thinker and worker who can also work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, work with sensitive information and always adhere to ethical standards.
- Familiar with State and Federal court filings, including submission of electronic filings.
