**About the Role**:
We are looking for a talented **Veteran Services Manager** to join our team for a fixed-term position that wraps up on June 30th, 2025. In this role, you will provide strategic guidance to the Veteran Behavioral Health Peer Support Services (VBHPSS) team and oversee the implementation and progress of multiple programs. Our aim is to ensure that all programs achieve the desired outcomes for our organization and effectively promote services to the community. This opportunity enables you to engage with and make a meaningful impact on our veteran community within a specified timeframe.

This position will manage and lead a high functioning team that assists Veterans and spouses experiencing career obstacles, homelessness, and military-civilian transition. The Veteran Services Manager will ensure that the work of the VBHPSS program meets all grant requirements (government, corporate, and private), and that all VBHPSS staff conduct in-depth needs assessment to identify the specific and unique services to be provided to individual participants. Working Wardrobes VBHPSS staff is a premiere group of Peer Navigators which provides workforce readiness, career development support, job placement services, housing, and refers individuals to partner agencies that can assist with other barriers and needs that the Veteran may be experiencing such as homelessness, behavioral health, and Veterans Affairs benefits information.

**Responsibilities**:
**Leadership**
- Responsible for furthering the reputation and awareness of the VBHPSS Program and Working Wardrobes for the duration of the contract
- Manages, coaches, mentors, and guides the VBHPSS team as they encourage program participants to achieve employment and life success.
- Works closely with the Director, Client Services, to consult on military protocol and provide military expertise in donor and corporate support. Provides the Veteran’s perspective on participant issues for fundraising efforts, including the military-to-civilian transition, Veteran employment, and spouse and family challenges, including Veteran suicide rates.
- Provides outstanding leadership and organizational skills as team leader.
- Attends military events on behalf of Working Wardrobes to grow our participant base and create beneficial relationships that will expand our programs.
- Is an active member of the Orange County Military and Families Collaborative assigning VBHPSS members to serve on various committees hosted by the Collaborative.
- Works with Development team on a speaker's bureau with the goal of recruiting Veteran participants as future event speakers, volunteers, and advocates, in addition to civilian speakers.
- Collaborates with the Social Enterprise and Development Departments to raise program visibility among supporters and stakeholders that may not otherwise contact information about VBHPSS.
- Develops and nurtures industry and agency partnerships in support of VBHPSS and Working Wardrobes.
- Supervises VBHPSS staff of Peer Navigators

**Program Services**
- Works closely with the Director, Client Services to develop a strategic path to incorporate career development, housing, and training initiatives to ensure positive outcomes for VBHPSS participants.
- Oversees the VBHPSS team's work to create and provide presentations to various audiences on services available to programs, and how companies can hire and retain Veterans.
- Responsible for all aspects of the contract closure process including final reporting, client off-boarding, and related tasks.
- Cultivates relationships in the community in support of providing additional services and referral to Veterans who are struggling to achieve sustainability.
- Manages the VBHPSS grant by ensuring staff are informed of the grant requirements and meets all metrics. Complete all reporting according to the requirements of the grant and provide regular updates to Director, Client Services.
- Completes special projects as assigned within designated time frames.

**Client Services Oversight**
- Ensures participant service delivery is performed according to the organization’s mission, policies, procedures, and service philosophy.
- Ensures compliance with all licensing, contractual, Federal, State, and Local regulations, requirements, and grant funding.
