The Buyer position will ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. You will be responsible for negotiating pricing, vendor selection and/or development, generating and managing purchases and coordinating deliveries to meet production requirements.

**POSITION LOCATION**:
Addison, Illinois

**In This Role You Will**:

- Procures materials or other goods and/or coordinates activities involved with purchasing products and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies.
- Receives and reviews requisitions requesting goods or services.
- Communicates with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
- Expedites orders and requests as needed.
- Estimates values according to knowledge of market price.
- Determines method of procurement, such as direct purchase or bid.
- Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.
- Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
- Maintains procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
- Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
- Keeps abreast of market trends, changes in business practices in the assigned markets, new or altered types of materials entering the market, etc.

**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering preferred.
- Purchasing/Supply Chain experience with a MRP system in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong ERP knowledge and background in supplier management and negotiations, NetSuite preferred.
- Manage multiple jobs and competing requirements by confidently making critical decisions in a demanding environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Work independently with mínimal supervision and collaboratively within peer, production, and sales engineering teams.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills required.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
