Currently, **ManTech** is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented** Purchasing Specialist **to join our team in **DMV area. **We have opportunities in the** Washington, DC area** as well as **Northern Virginia and Maryland**. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
The Purchasing Specialist is an experienced professional specializing in procurement and purchasing activities within an organization. They manage and coordinate the Procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplier performance. They work closely with other departments to understand their purchasing needs and ensure that the organization receives the best value for its money. Additionally, they may also be involved in budgeting, inventory management, and implementing purchasing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The Purchasing Specialist is a senior role with extensive experience in all aspects of the Procurement process. The Purchasing Specialist III supervises and mentors subordinate project and ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) staff.

**Basic Qualifications**:

- High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of position-specific relevant experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with workflow tools such as ServiceNow or Atlasian (Confluence, Jira).

**Clearance Requirements**:

- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance.
