Catholic Charities West Michigan (CCWM) is a community-based agency providing programs in Western Michigan and offering a variety of services in family preservation, behavioral health, child welfare, and community outreach.

Essentials

**Responsibilities**:

- Serves a maximum caseload of eight (8) EFC children
- Provides treatment planning and leadership of the treatment team
- Participates in the recruitment, orientation and training of foster parents
- Works in-conjunction with the Foster Care Worker on intake of youth, placement and program evaluation
- Assists in driving and transporting clients when needed
- Completes and submits required CCWM, and WMPC documents, specific to EFC, within the required time frames
- Collaborates with Behavioral Aides to assist with appropriate behavioral health and mental health services to child and family to ensure appropriate services are being implemented and appropriately utilized
- Shows compliance with policies and procedures of DCWL, DHHS, contracts, standards, agency and program expectations
- Maintains contact with the child, biological family, caregiver, attorneys, therapists, school personnel and/or other service providers related to the implementation of the service plan
- Attends supervision, staff program trainings, and agency meetings

- Ability to prepare reports, maintain records, and collect and evaluate client data
- Ability to read and interpret data
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to relate to diverse populations and cultures while communicating with clients and the public in a courteous and effective manner
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
- Ability to meet requirements of all contracts, licensing regulations and State/Federal oversight

Recommended Employment Qualifications
- Education:_
- A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or a Human Service related area is required.
- A Master's Degree in a Human Services field is preferred.
- Experience:_
- At least one (1) year experience working in Child Welfare, Family systems or in an Education Interventionalist role along with experience in assessment and treatment planning is required.
- Completion of Child Welfare Training Institute (CWTI) is preferred.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:_
- CWTI Certification
- State of Michigan Social Work licensure is preferred.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:_

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
