Catholic Charities West Michigan (CCWM) is a community-focused organization delivering services throughout Western Michigan, specializing in family preservation, behavioral health, child welfare, and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage a maximum caseload of eight (8) Enhanced Foster Care children.

Lead treatment planning and guide the treatment team.

Engage in the recruitment, orientation, and training of foster caregivers.

Collaborate with the Foster Care Worker on youth intake, placement, and program assessment.

Assist in the transportation of clients as necessary.

Complete and submit all required documentation specific to Enhanced Foster Care within designated timelines.

Work alongside Behavioral Aides to ensure appropriate behavioral health and mental health services are provided to children and families.

Adhere to policies and procedures set forth by DCWL, DHHS, contracts, standards, and agency expectations.

Maintain communication with the child, biological family, caregivers, attorneys, therapists, school staff, and other service providers involved in the service plan.

Participate in supervision, staff training sessions, and agency meetings.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to foster and promote a positive workplace culture.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks.

Competence in preparing reports, maintaining records, and analyzing client data.

Ability to interpret and utilize data effectively.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to connect with diverse populations and cultures while engaging with clients and the public in a respectful and effective manner.

Capacity to work independently and exercise sound judgment.

Ability to meet the requirements of all contracts, licensing regulations, and State/Federal oversight.

Recommended Qualifications:

Education:


A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related human services field as outlined by MSA and BCAL regulations is required.

A Master's Degree in a human services discipline is preferred.

Experience:


A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Child Welfare or Family Systems, including experience in assessment and treatment planning, is required.

Completion of Child Welfare Training Institute (CWTI) is mandatory.

Certifications:
CWTI Certification

State of Michigan Social Work licensure is preferred.

Supervisory Duties:
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
