Summary

This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Operations Division, Office of Foreign Operations, International Affair Section.

This position's primary purpose is to support the Office of Foreign Operation's International Affair Section serving as a secondary point of contact with the Office of the Administration and assisting with liaison activities.

**As a your typical work assignments may include**:
Planning objectives of the International Visitor Program, which includes the development, planning, management, and implementation of the Special Observation Program and Diplomatic Visitor Program.
Providing guidance and direction to staff engaged in the development and implementation of plans and objectives to assure that actions are in keeping with DEA objectives.
Reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating accomplishments of the overall program by reviewing reports, studies, projects, and information provided by staff members, support personnel, contractors and other agencies.
Coordinating administrative matters that cross organizational lines and ensuring an open communication between organizations while addressing a number of issues for which the incumbent has specific administrative oversight responsibility.
Responsible for arranging high level visits for foreign dignitaries, law enforcement counterparts, members of the Foreign Service (to include Ambassadors and Deputy Chief of Missions), political leaders and the U.S. Military.

You must be a current DEA employee on a permanent career or career conditional appointment.
Drug testing designated position
You may be required to serve a one year supervisory or non-supervisor probationary period.

Current Federal employees cannot transfer unused Time Off Awards to DEA.

**Qualifications**:
You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of experience (equivalent to at least the GS-12 level or pay band in the Federal service) that includes performing the following duties: 1) Providing administrative and logístical assistance in support of international and regional conferences and meetings; 2) Analyzing extensive program data/interrelationships, and coordinates the preparation of accurate and reasonable programs plans and proposals; 3) Reviewing policies, directives, regulations; and, 4) Providing guidance and direction to staff engaged in the development and implementation of plans and objectives to assure that actions are in keeping with DEA objectives.

Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience for this position includes:
