**Description**:
The SAMHSA grant is an important component of Hamilton County’s FUSE Initiative. FUSE (Frequent User Systems Engagement) is a program launched by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office to provide permanent supportive housing for people who are homeless, experiencing severe mental illness (SMI), and cycling through jails, hospitals, and crisis system care. The ACT Team will provide mental health treatment and support to the 100 individuals participating in the pilot program. The team will be managed by Mental Health Cooperative, a licensed behavioral health organization operating in Hamilton County.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**: (Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, physical requirements, knowledge,

**This is a Fair Labor Standards Act defined Exempt Position**:
- **Exempt positions are excluded from minimum wage, overtime regulations, and other rights and protections afforded nonexempt workers. The employee in this position is paid a salary rather than an hourly wage for this position. FLSA does not limit the amount of work time an employer may require or expect from any exempt employee, on any schedule. Hamilton County Government expects an employee in this position to complete the work assigned regardless the amount of hours involved in completing the tasks assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
The equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Health and Human Services, Political Science or another behavioral science degree in a closely related field and two (2) years of direct work experience in contract administration and grants planning and management.** **Must possess a driver’s license.
**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:
***Position may require work on holidays, weekends, and/or irregular hours.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
Experience implementing and/or evaluating SAMHSA grants is preferred. A Master’s degree in a health-related field is preferred.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:
Work requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing and movement. Excessive keyboarding may be required. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
