About the Role

Mesa Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality substation design projects to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project scope, budget, and schedule to ensure timely and within-budget delivery
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians to design and deliver substation projects
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and deliverables
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including resource allocation and risk management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards
  • Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders, including clients and senior management
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and partners
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • 6+ years of experience in substation design and project management
  • Strong knowledge of substation design principles, including medium to extra high voltage substation protection and control systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Experience with project management software, including Microsoft Project and Asana
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
