We are currently seeking a meticulous and proactive Associate Project Manager to enhance our Transmission Line Engineering team. This role is pivotal in supporting the management of transmission line projects, liaising with diverse stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Assist in the planning, execution, and closure of transmission line projects. Collaborate with the Project Manager to coordinate project activities, resources, and timelines.
- Safety Compliance: Uphold and advocate for Mesa's safety protocols, ensuring that all team operations adhere to established safety standards.
- Documentation Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, reports, and technical specifications.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication among team members, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring that project updates, challenges, and modifications are clearly conveyed.
- Resource Allocation: Assist in managing project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project milestones on schedule and within budget.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor project progress and performance to ensure compliance with technical standards, quality benchmarks, and safety regulations.
- Problem Solving: Identify potential project challenges and assist in formulating solutions. Escalate critical issues to the Project Manager as necessary.
- Budget Tracking: Aid in monitoring project expenditures and budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Business Development: Actively communicate and promote Mesa's capabilities to new and existing clients, identifying potential projects and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration is advantageous.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- 4-6 years of experience in transmission line design/engineering project management, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
Work Environment:
- Standard office setting with occasional field visits requiring physical ability to navigate rough terrain.
