- _Responsibilities_

- As a Freight Broker Agent, you will be responsible for managing the transportation of goods and coordinating shipments between shippers and carriers to haul their freight.
- This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to secure freight opportunities
- Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure competitive pricing for customers and also assume financial responsibility in the shipping process by invoicing shippers, ensuring payment for services rendered by carriers and agents.
- Coordinate the movement of freight, including scheduling pickups and deliveries
- Track shipments and provide updates to customers and carriers
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation
- Utilize software systems to manage freight operations efficiently
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and compliance requirements, including FDA regulations for transporting perishable goods

Pay: $43,929.52 - $60,000.00 per year
