This is an AmeriCorps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Renewal Food Bank is a vital food security resource in Bellevue, Washington. We provide a dignified shopping experience with an emphasis on client choice. We have a commitment to providing an equitable experience. We recruit staff and volunteers who reflect the languages, cultures, and lived experiences of our customers. We aim to create a safe and welcoming environment for people who identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+. The member will serve in a hybrid role to support the Transportation Manager and enhance our communication efforts. We plan to begin interviews on a rolling basis in mid-June. Monthly stipend amount: $1,780.
**Member Duties**: The Transportation and Communications Associate supports Renewal Food Bank’s work to address hunger in a culturally responsive and dignified manner by assisting with our daily transportation needs and creating content for a variety of communication platforms. They will support the Transportation Manager on retail pickup routes; schedule and train volunteers for ride-alongs; ensure vehicles are well-maintained; create digital and written content for our website, social media channels, and other publications with an emphasis on storytelling; Expand our social media strategy.
