**Law Firm Billing Specialist Overview**:
**Law Firm Billing Specialist Responsibilities**:
- Prepare client invoices in accordance with firm billing guidelines and client representation agreements
- Process client payments
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of billing entries, including time and expenses
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues
- Maintain billing records and documentation in compliance with firm policies and procedures
- Assist with client billing inquiries
- Generate reports for firm ownership related to billing activities as needed
- Stay updated on industry best practices and software tools to enhance billing efficiency
**Law Firm Billing Specialist Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in legal billing or accounting preferred
- Proficiency with billing software (e.g., Clio, Legal Billing Software) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to meet deadlines without supervision
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with legal terminology and billing practices
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
**Law Firm Billing Specialist Schedule**:
This is a part-time position offering flexibility with a hybrid remote/on-site work model. The expected weekly hours are approximately 20 hours.
