We are looking for a skilled accounts payable clerk to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. In addition, this Associate will provide HR administrative support for the Store HR Team, i.e. entering new hires, maintaining personnel files and assisting with HR related projects.

**Responsibilities**
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients' billing issues
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
- Receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices due for payment in an efficient and timely manner
- Processing A/P checks printing and distribution for the Liquor stores
- Handling any inquiry or requests from vendors; payment/invoice discrepancies.
- File, maintain, and distribute accounting documents thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Performs other duties as required to support the Accounting Department
- Assist with daily Cash and Sales reconciliation
- Mail distribution
- Assist with coding and processing the Retail Incentive Program checks
- Gross Profit detail review
- **Skills**
- Proven working experience as accounts payable clerk
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel
- Knowledge of MAS/90 and Oracle as well as PeopleSoft a plus
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Customer service orientation
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
