Accounting Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Community Council of Idaho.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, statements, and payment vouchers.
  • Verify billing information and reconcile accounts to the general ledger.
  • Prepare and make bank deposits, and maintain the petty cash fund.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to inquiries from customers and vendors.
  • Assist department accountants with various tasks and projects.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to six months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of related experience.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of office equipment.
  • Lifting and moving up to 25 pounds.
