The Seed Research Laboratory at Discovery Labs is an innovation engine that drives our molecular glue discovery efforts towards the clinic.

**We Are Looking For**

A driven scientist with an expertise in structure-based drug design (SBDD), to collaborate in the building of an advanced drug discovery platform (SEED’s RITE3 platform), pioneering the discovery of molecular glues to induce the targeted degradation of disease-causing proteins. This individual will contribute to the accomplishment of goals of most SEED groups and drug development projects in collaboration with SEED founders, to utilized protein structural information to select predict and strengthen protein-protein interactions. Importantly, the person we are looking for will be dedicated to company success through leading and taking responsibility for determined, intelligent and ethical drug development efforts aiming to treat human disease.

**Responsibilities (including but not limited to)**:

- Advance the scientific understanding of molecular glue MOAs from a structural point of view through discovery efforts, and in this way improving the likelihood of success in Seed’s drug development efforts
- Analyze protein structures and contribute to E3 selection
- Design and expand high throughput screening libraries to support hit generation
- Identify protein protein interface, novel binding sites and perform virtual screening using proprietary and commercial compound libraries
- Build/improve cheminformatics platform, perform data analysis and visualization to support compounds optimization
- Expand SEED’s AI aided drug discovery platform
- Work with in-house Protein Science, Biology and Technology groups, as well as external CROs, to accomplish goals within set timelines, maintaining high quality
- Maintain meticulous records to capture the data and value created internally and externally
- Supervise scientists at CROs and manage tasks performed externally

**Required Qualifications for Consideration Are**
- Ph.D. with at least 5 years combined post-PhD work, with extensive hands-on experience in the use of protein structures in small molecule drug discovery and Hit to Lead efforts
- Expert proficiency in one or more commercial CADD platform such as Schrodinger, CCG (MOE), etc
- Expertise docking solved or predicted protein structures
- Expertise in preforming virtual screening and design/optimize compounds, building QSAR model
- Experience using AlphaFold, AI/ML algorithms
- Deep understanding of computational biophysical approaches, such as free energy calculations, molecular dynamics, and quantum mechanics
- Knowledge of medicinal chemistry principles, ADME, cheminformatics
- Track record of peer-reviewed publications reporting the success of SBDD related efforts
- Hands on work contributing towards discovering agents causing targeted protein degradation is a plus
- Inventorship on patents a plus
- >2 years’ experience in a small to mid-size biotech is a plus

Pay: $135,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
