**DESCRIPTION**:
- The OCFA is currently recruiting to fill one (1) vacancy for the position of Information Technology Analyst in the Information Technology Division. This recruitment will be used to fill the current vacancy and establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.
**CLASS SUMMARY**:
- Incumbents are responsible for performing professional level activities (depending on assigned area), in administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer, network, and communications systems.

Analyzes, categorizes, and compiles a variety of data; confers with clients to determine needs and system configurations; develops project specifications for highly specialized hardware and/or software solutions; determines appropriate development and web tools; authorizes access and/or administers servers and computer workstations; installs, tests, modifies, and maintains assigned systems; recommends improvements and modifications; analyzes problems; prepares documentation including flowcharts, maps, instructions and passwords; supports technical and non-technical initiatives and the ongoing support of systems; responds to support calls and provides training for assigned areas; performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Positions Assigned to Systems Development and Support:_**
- Performs systems analysis and programming.
- Conducts feasibility analysis and studies of software deployment projects, and system interfaces, data exchanges, and reports for internal systems and with external agencies.
- Provides database structure, query methodology, and report writing training and support.
- Develops custom programming solutions.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:_
**EDUCATION **_(position requirements at entry)_**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
**EXPERIENCE **_(position requirements at entry)_**:
- Two (2) years of computer experience related to the area of assignment.
**LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS **_(position requirements at entry)_**:
- Must maintain an acceptable and insurable driving record at all times.
**HIGHLY DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS**:
Public safety systems administration including:
- o CentralSquare Enterprise Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD)
- o Active911 incident notification
- o TabletCommand mobile incident management
- o NG911
- o Push to Talk (PTT)
- o CAD2CAD
- o Automatic Vehicle Locator (AVL)
- o WestNet Fire Station alerting
- o ANI/ALI
SQL scripting and programming
Emergency 911 dispatch operations
Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Public safety radio communications
