Targeting TGF-ß signaling pathways has been clinically proven to elicit robust changes in blood cells, muscle, and bone, which we believe provides a precedent and strong rationale for our strategy.

**Job Summary**: The Associate Director of Business Planning report to the VP of FP&A and partners with the C-suite and business leadership to lead business analytics to enable strategic decision making as well as develop budgets and long-range plans that integrate operating plans across a portfolio of clinical assets.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
**Financial Planning and Analysis**
- Support the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process, including template preparation, consolidation of expenses, and driver analysis. Partner with business leaders to understand drivers of spend, ensure alignment with corporate goals, and proactively provide input to ensure appropriate balance between operational excellence and financial discipline.
- Proactively recommend proactive or reactive options to ensure actual spend continues to align with financial and operational goals.
- Prepare monthly / quarterly variance analysis of actuals to forecast and/or budget, communicate, and investigate any meaningful discrepancies, and understand key business drivers.
- Partner with the operational leadership to understand latest functional and program developments and ensure continued alignment with budget for reporting.
- Maintain Adaptive Planning software to prepare monthly and quarterly variance analysis and dashboard reporting. Ensure alignment with Netsuite ERP systems.
- Implement FP&A software and data automation projects that span across the Finance organization as needed.

**Business Analytics**
- Assist with maintaining Keros' corporate model to quantify scenarios to proactively manage investments across Keros' portfolio. Inform management on impact of portfolio commitments on budget and long-range forecasts. Provide management with financial insights by building strong functional and program knowledge to support portfolio and functional investments in support of Keros strategic plan. Present findings to senior management.
- Partner with business leaders in manufacturing, clinical and commercial to develop robust long range functional forecasts to support portfolio investment and decision making and providing financial insights to functional leaders.
- Partner with manufacturing and commercial leaders to support production forecasts and material planning model to quantify short-term and long-term manufacturing needs while optimizing supply chain economics.
- Assist in the development of Key Performance Indicators to be monitored by management.
- Represent Finance on select program teams. Provide visibility to each program's financial plan, performance versus that plan, as well as levers to ensure financial targets are met. Provide ad-hoc financial and/or business case analyses, as needed.
- Assist in preparing clear and concise presentations for the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.

**Qualifications**:

- BS/BA required; MBA/CFA preferred
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in biotechnology or the life science industry.
- Prior FP&A experience as well as prior experience in manufacturing or commercial planning and or analytics
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
- Advanced financial modeling and presentation skills
- Proficient in NetSuite and Adaptive Planning or similar software
- Working knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles
- High attention to detail while managing multiple projects
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
