**Position Summary**
The Post-Closing Specialist is responsible for reviewing completeness and accuracy of collateral documents to ensure they meet company standards. This key support role prepares and audits loan files for investors and purchasing financial institutions. This position reports to the Post-Closing Manager and works in a team setting.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
- Ability to operate well in a team environment, which requires working well with others, having clear and positive communication with clients, fellow employees, and supervisors, as well as ability to follow direction.
- Review closed files for accuracy and completeness including loan and escrow related documents, dates and signatures.
- Follow-up on missing documents.
- Assist with drafting Assignments and Allonges into proper investor entity; ensure proper transfer of ownership based on title chain and submit Assignment and Allonge for signature.
- Ensure Assignments are recorded within proper turn time.
- Assist with preparing physical and electronic collateral files for daily fundings.
- Request and maintain custodian exception reports.
- Ensure timely delivery trailing documents to custodian to clear any collateral exceptions.
- Maintain filing system and ensure that it follows the Company’s policies.
- Compile and organize documents for audit requests.
- Oversee process for pulling and imaging paid files.
- Manage departmental mail.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
**Requirements**:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
**Preferred, but not required**
- Administrative, support related experience a plus.
- Experience in Mortgage or Real Estate is a plus.
- Current Notary commission is a plus.
**Work Environment**
This is an in-office position.
**Compensation**
The pay for this position is $22-$23/hour, plus performance-based bonus.
