About the team
Performance & Incentives (P&I) are powerful tools for furthering the company's strategic goals. A robust Performance & Incentives (P&I) strategy influences the organization's ability to attract and retain the best talent, while creating a strong alignment of individuals' interests with the organization's strategic goals. The Performance & Incentives team at ByteDance, therefore, are constantly benchmarking and striving for the best practice & return on investment in developing competitive C&B policies. The Performance & Incentives team works on a lot of interesting problems. Whether it is developing new world-class compensation policies, diving deep into market research, analyzing big data and benchmarking. The Performance & Incentives team work on a lot of cool and exciting projects to come up with the best ways to serve our organization. Given the nature of our work, it also creates huge opportunities for collaboration with departments in and outside of the HR organization.

**What You Will Do**:

- Partner closely with key stakeholders, including leaders and HRBPs, to understand business strategies and needs; develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy for compensation, benefits and performance philosophy and policies;
- Formulate and iterate total rewards strategy and compensation policies for business to align with business strategy, ensuring external competitiveness and internal equity;
- Lead global compensation projects, conduct in-depth research and analysis of the most cutting-edge human resource theories and practices around the world. Drive the planning, design and execution of compensation planning cycles, including pay equity, base pay and bonus philosophies;
- Partner with Global Performance & Incentives COE teams to integrate performance management practices with compensation to foster a high-performance culture;
- Develop and execute innovation and competitive compensation strategies designed to attract, motivate and retain talent;
- Lead benchmarking compensation structure, ensuring we have data and processes in place to stay competitive with the market in all global locations.

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Experienced in total rewards and compensation with hands-on practice in designing compensation strategy;
- Fluency in English;
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, backing up proposals with good data to be able to present to management team.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience within a multinational company setting with background in designing compensation philosophies;
- Experience with problem solving, including issue spotting, analyzing data/information and presenting conclusions effectively;
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and create consensus;
- Experience navigating the complexities and ambiguity of a fast paced and innovative environment.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $300000 - $500000 annually.
