**Duties**:
1. As part of an Integrated Acquisition Team, plans the overall approach to meet contracting program objectives for a wide range for AF-wide, DoD-wide, or multiple agency multi-million or billion dollar programs or systems that span multiple years or involve successive program stages
2. Procures complex and/or diversified services, commodities, and/or construction
3..Executes post-award contract performance management actions on assigned contracts
4. Serves as business advisor to a wide range of customers, participates in special projects/initiatives and performs special assignments

- Selectee is expected to be granted with and/or maintain the appropriate security clearance required for the position.

- Relocation cost or other incentives may be available and considered by the organization.
- The duty location for this position is Hanscom AFB MA. However, this position MAY be eligible for Full Time Telework and an alternate duty location MAY be negotiated after selection. Remote location MAY be negotiated.
- The employee must, within 30-days of assuming this position and by 31 October annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report. Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training
- This position serves as a Warranted Contracting Officer. Therefore, the employee must maintain current certifications
- Disclosure of Political Appointments

**Qualifications**:

- Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, DoD Instruction (DoDI) 5000.66, Defense Acquisition Workforce Education, Training, Experience, and Career Development.Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.**BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT**:
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

- BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

- A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees
- OR
- A current member of the Armed Forces (not retired or separated) OR a current DOD employee that meets the following requirements: 1) served as a contracting officer with authority to award or administer in excess of the simplified acquisition threshold on or before 30 September 2000; 2) served, on or before 30 September 2000, in a position as either an employee in the GS-1102 series or as a member of the Armed Forces in a similar occupation specialty; OR, (3) is in the contingency contracting force.
- In addition to meeting the basic requirements, applicants must have specialized experience:

- **SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE**:Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience includes at least 52 weeks or will have within 120 days of the closing of this announcement the specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GS-12) in one or more of the following: (1) soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, and awarding contracts; (2) administering contracts by assuring compliance with the terms and conditions; (3) terminating contracts by analyzing, negotiating, and settling claims and proposals; (4) analyzing and evaluating cost/price proposals and accounting systems; (5) planning, establishing, or reviewing contracts, programs, policies, or procedures; (6) formulating and administering policies and procedures to insure achievement of socioeconomic goals; (7) developing acquisition strategies and directing or managing procurements; and/or (8) providing functional staff advisory services within the contracting occupation. - **FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS**: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
