**A successful Engineering Technician II will have knowledge in or be able to achieve the below Job Qualifications.**
**FLSA Status**
Hourly Non-exempt
**Education/Experience**
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum and 5 years of Experience at Precision Edge as an Engineering Technician I, or 5 years equivalent experience/knowledge required.
- Or, associate's degree in science, technology, or engineering required.
**Essential Functions, Knowledge and Competencies**
- Teamwork/Cooperation and Customer Focus
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Handle multiple priorities with Decisiveness
- Communication skills Good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate both written and verbally with internal customers
- Proficient use of Fact Finding & Analysis Methodologies
- Quality/accuracy of evaluation work
- Proficient in Print Reading, including GD&T
- Proficient with Computers (Office Software)
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Must be willing to work as part of a multi-site team and be able to travel as part of the job (Michigan locations)
**Responsibility/Authority May Include**:
- Evaluate Blueprints comparing old revision to new revisions for changes
- Engineering Router creation and maintenance.
- Read and Evaluate technical specifications comparing old revisions to new revisions for changes
- Write and Evaluate Engineering Change Requests - Work with all necessary Internal Customers to assist in processing all documented change requests
- Analyze, identify and evaluate potential changes to internal or external documents and processes and determine if the proposed change(s) will cause other document, product and process changes.
- Follow up on Change Requests and Customer RFQ’s to make sure they get completed in a timely manner.
- Full Execution of Product Quotes
- Identify outside processes and materials needed; work with Materials Department for accurate pricing.
- Work with Customer Service for receiving requests for quotes, customer questions, sending quotes, and follow up with customers.
- Work with Product Development Engineers and programmers to establish cost effective process for timely estimates.
- File Management of all quotes change orders and related documents.
- Provide regular status updates on all job assignments.
- Must have Technical Report Writing skills ability to develop and write standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Develop or revise validation documentation as required for similar/like-like equipment (e.g. plans, protocols, reports, procedures).
- Work with the Subject Matter Experts to create validation documentation for new equipment and processes.
- Execute validation protocols as required with the assistance of the Subject Matter Experts (e.g. Equipment IQ/OQ, Process OQ, Process PQ, etc.).
- Evaluate, Develop and Write Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
- Proficient in AutoCAD / SolidWorks Under limited supervision, assists in the development and preparation of designs for new products, current products, tooling, gages, fixtures, plant layouts by preparing and maintaining detail drawings that are simple to semi-complex in nature and are designed to develop increased drafting skills and product knowledge.
- Work with suppliers or customers to clarify prints, specifications, or content of redline customer product drawings used in quotes.
- Train employees as needed
