This position provides assistance and guidance in matters related to human resources functions including: employment, recruitment and selection, orientation, job analysis and documentation.

**Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities**:

- Manage and update org charts for the departments.
- Resolve employee relations issues, provide management counseling and exit interviewing for personnel.
- Prepare and disseminate offer letters, employee status change letters.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions for designated support areas for every employee.
- Develop and implement advertising plan for all vacancies including writing and posting advertisements internally and externally
- Perform data entry of new hires, and completion/processing of a variety of HR forms
- Manage the maintenance of employee files
- Implement and coordinate employee records system
- Audit HR Systems for the integrity of data and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Act as liaison between the employee and payroll office with regards to leave balances
- Assist with the coordination of all training for Staff including outsourced training and assist in the development of training curricula and the delivery of training as necessary.
- Assist with departmental audits as necessary.
- Update and communicate department policies and procedures
- Participate in University committee and other community work as appropriate
- Ensure the effective and current flow of information between the functions of the Office of Human Resources and the University management and employees
- Maintain confidentiality of all human resource information and ensure full compliance with Department, University and legal requirements for authorization of the release of employee information.
- Demonstrate a high level of personal and professional integrity in all dealings
- Assist with the coordination of New Hire Orientations as necessary including scheduling, dissemination of materials, procurement of venue, and meals
- Assist when needed for the processing and disseminating union reports per collective bargaining agreement with regards to new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations
- Assist when needed for the for preparing purchase requisitions for invoices

**Qualifications**:
**Required Skills & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree
- Two years office experience preferably in HR. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Fluency in the Microsoft Office Suite and Excel. Banner experience is highly desirable

**Physical/Other Requirements**:

- Must be able to push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to meet all general health requirements for the position as per University policies
