**Description** Patient Representative Assistant, Patient Representative, Mount Sinai West - Full Time, Days**
The Patient Representative Assistant serves as the first touch point for patients and families contacting Patient Relations for service facilitation, complaints and grievances. This position performs all office and clerical duties to support the Department.
**Responsibilities**
1.Performs office and clerical duties directly related to the management or general business operations of the department.
2.Answer phones and assists patients and families with inquiries and concerns.
3.Supports Patient Representatives to assist with day-to-day functions on inpatient and outpatient units, as needed
4.Works collaboratively with all inpatient and outpatients departments to promptly facilitate problem resolution.
5.Responsible for timely documentation, entering data into complaint/grievance database.
6.Maintains confidentiality of all patient and/or employee information to assure patient and/or employee rights are protected.
7.Promotes patient and family centered care throughout the Hospital.
8.Provides operational support to Senior Director, Patient Experience & Patient Relations.
9.Performs other related duties.
**Qualifications**
High School diploma.
1 year clerical/secretarial experience required.

Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $20.46 - $30.69 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
