Customer Service Representative for Commercial

You have a unique opportunity to join our insurance family and grow your career as a commercial insurance agent/customer service rep This in-office position is for full or part-time employment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Compile and properly complete accord forms, supplemental apps, and submissions for apartment owners and investors
- Market accounts effectively to provide clients with optimal coverage options at competitive rates
- Review policy documents to verify accuracy in rating and coverage
- Process and issue certificates of insurance and auto ID cards
- Process invoices
- Process cancellation notices
- Support teammates with follow-up for clients and prospects
- Research and resolve coverage questions
- Promptly respond to the needs of prospects, clients and company underwriters
- Maintain client files and process routine correspondence between our agency and the client or company in our agency management system (AMS 360)
- Maintain and service insurance policies
- Check policy coverages and endorsements on new business and renewals for accuracy
- Assist with other office duties as they arise and are needed

**Professional and Personal Skills**:

- An eye for detail
- Above-average written and verbal language skills required. Must be able to communicate professionally with customers
- Display willingness to make decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgement; support and explain reasoning for decisions; include appropriate team members in the decision-making process; make timely decisions
- Average math skills required. Ability to present numerical data effectively

**Qualifications to thrive in this position**:

- Previous experience in insurance, customer service, or other related fields
- Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive, resourceful and coachable
- Active California property-casualty insurance license
- Comfortable with technology and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Have a knowledge and understanding of insurance terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- High degree of self-discipline and motivation
- Manage multiple clients, tasks and requests
- Upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Patient, respectful, trustworthy, supportive, ethical and honest
