**Duties**:
As an Intelligence Operations Specialist, GS-0132-13/14/15, your typical work assignments may include the following:

- Drafts intelligence portions of the National Drug Control Strategy (NDCS) and reviews counterdrug intelligence programs of the National Drug Control Program agencies.
- Represents the Assistant Director for Intelligence and the Director of National Drug Control Policy on national-level intelligence committees and working groups, including those chaired by the National Intelligence Manager for the Western Hemisphere and Transnational Crime.
- Serves as an advocate for the Director's analytic and collection priorities during the National Intelligence Program Framework (NIPF) review process.
- Manages the security operations of a sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF), associated computer and communications systems, and a large volume of classified national security information. Ensures SCIF operations, to include personnel security, are conducted and maintained to accreditation standards.

- Must be willing to travel overseas to meet with representatives in austere locations, be willing to wear protective equipment, travel by helicopter or military vehicle, as necessary to meet with country team and/or host nation counterparts.

**Qualifications**:
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered mínimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standards. ALL QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET BY THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
- **SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE**: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Examples of specialized experience are:

- **You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement**:
One year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service, obtained in either the private or public sector, which includes:
- Providing advice on an organization's intelligence components and programs;
- Maintaining contact with programmatic and substantive representatives from across the Intelligence Community and other intelligence components to maintain currency with intelligence programs, resources issues, and activities;
- Assisting with a wide range of initiatives to determine the status of Intelligence Community collection and analytic efforts against countries and/or organizations assessed as top-tier intelligence priorities; AND
- Conducting background research and providing technical intelligence products for an organization's leadership or for review by senior intelligence professionals.

**You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement**:
One year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service, obtained in either the private or public sector, which includes:
- Providing authoritative advice and guidance concerning changes in organization, management, budget, and resource allocations for an organization's intelligence components and programs;
- Maintaining contact with and assisting programmatic and substantive representatives from across the Intelligence Community and other intelligence components to maintain currency with intelligence programs, resources issues, and activities;
- Assisting with the coordination of a wide range of initiatives to determine the status of Intelligence Community collection and analytic efforts against countries and/or organizations assessed as top-tier intelligence priorities; AND
- Reviewing congressional testimony, proposals and studies related to an organization's intelligence support requirements, and providing authoritative technical guidance to intelligence professionals who serve a wide range of intelligence functions.
