- Collaborates and ensures appropriate allocation of blended agents with respect to inbound or outbound collections and campaigns.
- Ensures timely resolution of billing system work queues, reports as well as review of statements skips to ensure patient billing is processing as expected.
- Conducts analysis, trending, prepare month-end reports and make continual assessments of performance and progress.
- Responsible for adherence to all federal and state regulations as it pertains to self-pay collections.
- Responsible for management and oversight of self-pay vendors.
- Oversight and responsibility for continually improving the overall experience to establish and meet customer expectation of consistent service excellence and ensure operational effectiveness, for Revenue Management, of our patients and families across all aspects of Geisinger.
- Continually assesses and identify habits, issues, and barriers to service excellence throughout Geisinger and develops associated action plans to mitigate, correct, and eliminate.
- Medicare Cost Report assembling and formatting the listings of encounters to be reviewed, and ensures the audit is adhering to the Medicare Cost Report rules and regulations.
- Works and provides direction in conjunction with other areas within the Revenue Management and Geisinger to ensure coordinated activities with respect to all Revenue Management’s needs.
- Manages an overall departmental operating and capital budget(s) within pre-determined limits and within Freedom-To-Act guidelines to ensure operational efficiencies and obtaining pre-determined performance targets.
- Assists with the establishment of a training school for all Revenue Management employees in regard to Uncompensated Care, Patient Experience, and Medicare Cost Report, and communicates ongoing improvements relative to process improvement and employee development.
- Relevant experience may be a combination of related work experience and degree obtained (Associate’s Degree = 2 years; Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years).
