**Job Title: Payroll & Administrative Coordinator** **Reports To : Controller**

**Department**:Finance & General Administration** **FLSA Status**:Non-Exempt**

**SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** **INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Adhere to payroll processing schedules and procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
- Responsible for the maintenance of earnings and deductions in the payroll system.
- Research employee payroll problems and answer general employee questions concerning payroll and timekeeping.
- Assist Controller with month-end journal entries and reconciliations for payroll and benefits related general ledger accounts.
- Assist in internal and external audits including workers compensation and annual financial audit.
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, including identifying required payments.
- Collection of data for and preparation of government surveys.
- Support site leadership team
- Support general administrative / organizational needs
- Schedule and organize company activities as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:

- 2+ years’ practical payroll experience in a manufacturing environment; or in accounting service centers for multiple locations, sound understanding of accounting principles.
- Associate degree in Accounting or Business equivalent degree preferred
- Experience with ADP Payroll System preferred
- Ability to learn different accounting systems and software
- Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments to complete them on time
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a restricted period of time
- Strong team player
- Ability to take initiative in process improvement.

**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the office, plant, warehouse, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and carry up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
- Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10-key adding machine and PC.
- Ability to simultaneously manage several objectives and reassign priorities.
- Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
