Summary
The BCS is responsible for remaining up to date on current contractual obligations, maintaining a high level of knowledge of all rules and regulations relative to the billing of our services and ancillary fees. The BCS conducts all activities in a professional manner, with accuracy and reliability in handling accounts and documents.
**Job Description**:
- Must be familiar with all billing functions, processes to identify revenue opportunities and satisfactorily resolve customer and company requirements.
- Requires exceptional understanding of our customer community contract benefits, city ordinances and billing database.
- Process work orders to bill customers for ancillary fees resulting from driver exception activity and provide rules and regulations on excess debris, overweight, contamination, and other.
- Conduct billing research assists with billing projects such as parcel audits and data validation to ensure accurate billing.
- Analyze and research data to identify what needs to be accomplished for customers and root cause analysis.
- Proactively partners with internal departments to resolve account challenges.
- Requires impeccable documentation skills keeping accurate notes in database system.
- Actively participates in educational opportunities, attends mandatory training to enhance contract, system and equipment knowledge.
- Meets or exceeds service quality and productivity goals set for the position.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in customer service, billing or analytical functions
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Strong multitasking abilities and high detail is required.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Confident critical thinker with intuitive problem solving skills
- Customer focused and exceptional listening abilities.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to effectively make quick sound decisions.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual English / Spanish
- Knowledgeable in Softpak system
- Work experience in the waste or transportation industry
