Marketplace Selections is a family owned wine, beer and spirits distributor in the Outstate Illinois market and seeks a self-motivated individual to represent our company. With our commitment to education, product quality, and overall customer service, Marketplace Selections services our customers like no other. We offer ideal temperature-control warehousing and delivery vehicles as we build brands and brand equity the right way both on and off premise. Nobody is as passionate about this, nor are they as committed to the highest industry standards as we are.

We are seeking a sales professional to represent our craft and import beer portfolio in Bloomington-Normal, and surrounding areas.

What You Will Do

Consultative Sales:

- Call on pre-established accounts as well as develop new accounts throughout the designated sales territory
- Be the master of your own schedule, prioritizing time spent visiting accounts in order to meet and exceed monthly sales goals
- Build and enhance relationships with decision-makers through consistency, reliability, and leveraging fact-based data, with the goal of gaining incremental sales
- Create customized sales presentations to inform and persuade decision-makers on the benefits of working with our portfolio

Creative Merchandising:

- Identify opportunities and locations to cross-merchandise in your accounts outside of the liquor department, displaying Marketplace Selections' products in an impactful way
- Creatively merchandise our products to stimulate impulse purchases using eye-catching display pieces

What You Need
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Vehicle to access account locations within assigned area.
- Able and capable of executing all essential functions to perform the job.
- Required to be at least 21 years of age.
- Required to live with-in or in close proximity of assigned territory.

- Restaurant/bar/retail/sales experience is a definite plus but not required.
- Experience working independently in the field.
- Innovative, entrepreneurial spirit, open to new ideas and challenges.
- Strategic thinker with ability to build rapport easily with customers and colleagues.
- Leadership aptitude or skill. Highly developed communication skills.
- Strong listening and presentation skills.
- Well-organized with highly effective time and activity management skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork experience.

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
