- and onshore installations, transpooling, recovery and decommissioning.

Aquatic is currently looking to add a **Business Development Manager** to the team on a full-time, permanent basis in Houston. The BD Manager is responsible for organic growth of Aquatic Engineering & Construction business, through existing client base, as well as identifying and establishing new clients in the onshore/offshore market within the region. The BD Manager will establish sales growth strategies and will oversee day-to-day direct sales with a focus on securing company backlog. They will develop project "win" strategies, feed market intelligence and strategy to the Commercial team, targeting planned financial and strategic objectives. The BD Manager is also tasked with providing both direct to client, as well as supporting commercial team with generation, and submittal, of tender documents, with a view of ensuring that key client intel and drivers are incorporated and addressed in any submittal.

**Duties**
- Develop and maintain relationships within assigned business region with a view to increasing market share
- Maintain an understanding and knowledge of the sectors within assigned business region in which Aquatic operates, including undertaking market and trend analysis
- Continually identify, qualify and maximize opportunities to ensure sufficient levels of potential new business is maintained in the opportunity pipeline
- Establish and build effective and productive relationships with key client base
- Assume responsibility to achieve sales revenue and margins that meet management expectations and agreed objectives
- Develop an Americas sales strategy plan to support equipment and personnel utilization targets
- Develop and implement regional sales tactics and detailed plans in conjunction with Managing Director that align with overall strategic business objectives
- Assess new opportunities potential in consultation with Global Proposals Manager develop and recommend commercial solutions that meet customer needs and maximize value
- Lead commercial discussions with clients
- Support the proposals groups pipeline model and use the data output to support customer interface through to order award
- On your own initiative or in conjunction with Proposals team, ensure all proposals are delivered with a high level of customer satisfaction
- On your own initiative or in conjunction with Project Delivery team, ensure all projects are delivered with a high level of customer satisfaction
- Support operations requirements in‐country at equipment storage locations
- Support the development and use of the company Customer Relationship Management database and ensure it is kept up to date. Manage and maintain reporting structure in line with agreed requirements
- Manage and maintain business development processes with a view to continuous improvement
- Participate in management reviews, management reporting and regional reviews as required
- Ensure compliance with Aquatic's Integrated Management System and promote the Acteon Way
- Promote Acteon / Aquatic Health and Safety policies, and communicate effective awareness of the risks and hazards to all personnel

**Required**
- Bachelor's degree or above qualification in Business, Engineering discipline or extensive experience in customer facing role
- Sales management/business acquisition techniques
- A proven ability to identify, develop and convert market opportunities within the Americas Region
- Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
- High degree of commercial acumen and contractual awareness
- Strong team ethic
- Familiar with standard office software packages
- Strong accounting and numerical understanding
- Strong organizational, analytical and strategic skills, with keen attention to detail
- Highly professional conduct with excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to work on own initiative, excellent time and management skills
- International experience
- Established industry network
