**Minimum Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field; 2 years related experience.
To manage the business and other clerical activities for a department.
**Job Duties**:
- Management of all business activities at the intersection of planning and coordinating:
- New Faculty Orientation (2x a year)
- Annual Faculty Awards Ceremony
- Provost Lecture
- Other events to be created in FY25 and beyond
- Manage and coordinate all activities for the new Associate Vice Provost - Leadership.
- This includes soliciting/advertising coaching opportunities for existing and emerging leaders and creating a tracking database
- Management and coordination of data collection, analysis, and feedback mechanisms
- Support for a robust faculty onboarding program
- Developing and managing a process for established benchmarks and metrics that evaluate faculty leadership programs
- Development and monitoring of financial practices for all office activities - building event budgets and tracking the same
- Participation in department strategic planning activities.
- Manages the overall business activities and related department activities for a
department and supervises the support staff.
- Assists in the recruitment of staff and support personnel.
- Develops, integrates, and monitors systems for use at the division/departmental level.
- Coordinates fiscal activities.
- Prepares/monitors income and expenses to ensure compliance with budgets.
- Prepares budget requests and budget justifications.
- Coordinates Research grants and contracts preparation, as well as the overall budget
activities.
- Assists the Department Head/Chair in goal setting and strategic planning.
- Coordinates special projects, and provides liaison work within other departments and
agencies.
- Identifies appropriate internal controls for the department; provides mechanisms to monitor
and enforce compliance.
- Performs related duties as required.
**Work Schedule**:
Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and as needed on occasion.
**Salary Range**:
Up to $65,000.00. commensurate with experience.
