Description of the broad function & scope of position:

- The most important aspect of this job is good and positive communication with customers, co-workers, and vendors.
- Perform over-the-counter sales to customers coming into our facility as well as over the phone (from order taking, researching & pricing to invoicing customers).
- Research and identify suitable replacement equipment based on customer needs (both over the counter and for the shop team).
- Perform basic testing on electromechanical equipment to determine if they need to enter the shop for repair or direct replacement and document accordingly.
- Perform shipping (mostly small packages) and receiving.
- Create job tickets, take incoming photos, and correctly label parts / equipment going into the shop.
- Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of products to customers as well as pickups from vendors as needed.
- Check stock inventory levels and work with purchasing to reorder parts.
- Be willing and able to get forklift certified to be able to correctly and efficiently load/offload AR&E vehicles, customer vehicles, and vendor vehicles.
- Assist management with organization of parts / equipment ready for pickup.
- Take customer deposits on jobs coming in for repair.
- Assist the operations manager with any new projects for the counter and repair shop areas.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Excellent Communication skills, which includes verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective relationships to achieve successful results with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
- Effective problem-solving skills using analytical techniques to ensure successful corrective actions.
- The ability to perform and retain various job-related training, operations, and safety procedures.
- Good attention to detail to ensure all work and sales orders are correct.
- The ability or willingness to learn to use a forklift and overhead crane for safely offloading vendor and customers.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8a to 5p with a 1-hour lunch

An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check, drug screen, physical exam.
