- Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher and ensure their effective implementation
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to support student success
- Provide feedback to regular classroom teachers on student progress and behavior

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, or classroom management is preferred
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies is a plus
- Familiarity with childhood development stages and early childhood education principles
- Ability to work with children of various ages, including preschool through high school
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or other special needs is beneficial

**Skills**:

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Ability to adapt quickly to different teaching environments and student populations
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques to create a positive learning atmosphere
