The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ), Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), is looking for highly motivated and talented individuals to join our team. DOJ is currently recruiting for a Human Trafficking Task Force Coordinator (Program and Policy Analyst-Advanced) to join the Human Trafficking and Internet Crimes Against Children Bureau. The vacant project position is located at the Milwaukee Field Office. DCI positions are not eligible for remote work. This position is eligible for bilingual opportunities and may require the ability to read, write and/or speak fluently in English and any one of the following languages: Spanish, Hmong, Tribal, and/or American Sign Language (ASL).

Position Summary This position is the Wisconsin Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force (WAHTTF) Coordinator and is responsible for coordinating and providing administrative and operational assistance to the Wisconsin Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force, which is developed in coordination with a cooperative agreement with the United States Department of Justice.

This position will guide the development of best practices, protocols, policies, and procedures that promote a collaborative multidisciplinary model to fight human trafficking. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day functions and oversight of the state task force including communication with task force partners and others who work with human trafficking victims, develop and conduct outreach for task force expansion, organize and lead task force meetings, and complete grant reporting requirements. This position works closely in coordination with the Division of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Human Trafficking Bureau and other WI DOJ personnel, Project Respect and other community-based advocates, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and other public safety organizations, as well as other members of the Wisconsin Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force.

Job Details

Based on current funding, this project position is expected to end September 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension. As a project employee, you will continue to receive all rights and privileges afforded to original probationary employees by state law, with the exception of tenure, transfer, reinstatement and layoff benefits. The Department of Justice does not sponsor work visas at the time of hire or anytime during employment. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required Employment Eligibility Form I-9. An extensive background check, including fingerprints, drug screening and psychological evaluation will be completed on all DCI applicants prior to selection.

**Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of human trafficking topics, including understanding of concepts, dynamics, and advocacy.
- Formal communication with a law enforcement/victim service audience or in a law enforcement/victim service setting.
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system and/or victim centered case management.
- Managing projects with multiple stakeholders including organization of events, activities, trainings, or meetings.
- Proficiency with public speaking or offering presentations.

In addition to the minimum qualifications, a well-qualified applicant must have:

- Experience in a public safety agency and/or victim service organization. And education, training, and/or experience in one or more of the following:

- Managing grants, writing grants, or documenting grant deliverables.
