The Director of Human Resources (HR) is responsible for performing all HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Executive Management Team and supervisors. This position is responsible for benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action/EEO-1, payroll, and employment law compliance.
Skillset & Experience:
- Effective communication when working with customers and/or employees.
- Ability to communicate with employees and understand their functions/processes.
- Be involved in developing solutions to meet the needs of the customer and/or employees.
- Flexibility to meet changing workload; highly self-motivated.
- Be a team player and be respectful to all staff, customers, and prospects.
- Provide leadership where assigned.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable software.
- Proficient in creating user-friendly training materials, including instructional guides, blog posts, and video tutorials.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with employees.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills with attention detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources and a minimum of five years’ experience in a HR generalist or manager role.
- Banking experience is preferred.
