Overview of Brooklyn Football Club Brooklyn FC is defining the future of soccer in America. In 2024, Brooklyn will begin play in the inaugural season of the USL Super League team and in 2025 will launch a USL Championship team. Along with USL Academy teams. We represent the 77 neighborhoods in the Brooklyn borough and are dedicated to uplifting our community through our global sport. Job Title: Community Development Manager

Job Salary: $60,000

Start Date: 6/15/2024

Role Description

Brooklyn Football Club is looking for a full-time Community Development Manager to lead the club's efforts in developing and strengthening relationships with key leaders, group leaders, and individuals within the community. The Community Development Manager will be responsible for establishing partnerships with local businesses, organizing events, building and managing volunteer networks, and developing economic opportunities for the club and community.

Role Responsibilities
- Create and implement strategies to engage the Brooklyn and NYC communities
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, sponsors, and community leaders that increase support and progress our club initiatives
- Develop and coordinate with a group of volunteer workers for community and game day events
- Be involved in the organization of community events, such as clinics, outreach activities, tournaments, and other youth-centric events to to increase awareness of Brooklyn FC and soccer in the NYC area
- Work cross-functionally with other departments
- Effectively communicate with community partners and stakeholders, club members, and volunteers.
- Organize and recruit volunteers, oversee volunteer activities, and maintain volunteer records.
- Identify, create, and implement economic opportunities to benefit the community and the club,

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in Community Development and Engagement, with a track record in building and maintaining strong relationships with community members and local organizations.
- Strong verbal and written Communication skills.
- Organizational and reporting skills.
- A strong, relevant network in the Brooklyn community.
- Proficiency in English with a preference for conversational or fluent Spanish.
- Drivers license preferred or an ability to obtain one
