JOB GOAL

To fulfill Harmony Mission and Goals at the campus level by planning and implementation of student and family engagement programs to support each and every student on the path to college and career success. Creates a college going atmosphere at elementary-middle and high school settings by supporting all stakeholders in their efforts to promote, develop, and maintain college and career awareness and exposure programs.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 1 year of teaching, professional, or administrative experience (preferred)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Understands and supports the mission, vision and values of Harmony Public Schools.
- Believes and supports that there is a 4-year college/university for every student regardless of their socio-economic status or background and all students are capable of going to a 4-year college or university
- Works effectively as a member of the College and Career team at the campus and attend all the meetings s/he is required to attend.
- Supports all stakeholders in their efforts to promote, develop, and maintain college and career awareness and exposure programs on campus.
- Maintains a collaborative team with consistent communication flow to all key stakeholders and teammates
- Participates in and effectively prepare for regular one-on-one check-ins with Dean of College and Career
- Assists students/parents in understanding school mission and vision regarding postsecondary education
- Promotes and coordinates campus student engagement programs such as extracurricular activities, clubs, athletics, student organizations and mentorship.
- Organizes campus wide yearlong exploration and expedition programs such as camps, trips, summer leadership and STEM camps.
- Promotes and coordinates campus multicultural festivals, foreign language competitions, talent shows and student & family engagement events.
- Participates in summer-melt intervention by supporting seniors during summertime via text messages, phone calls, home visits, orientation events, booth camps, etc...
- Supports and attends appropriate college and career activities and events organized in the campus/district
- Promotes students transition from elementary to middle and middle to high school.
- Contributes to campus College & Career access and success goals.
- Coordinates campus family engagement and recognition programs such as home visit (HPS PATH), Parent Academies, Parent of the Year, K12 family education and awareness programs and trips.
- Promotes student safety by implementation of HPS volunteer management program
- Serves as liaison for campus PTO and maintain successful PTO relations.
- Supports campus to resolve student success and engagement program related concerns and problems.
- Provides student success and engagement related training and workshops to staff, parents and students.
- Ensures accurate collection and submission of campus student success and engagement data.
- Meets with the Principal and Dean of College and Career for effective implementation of student success and engagement goals.
- Communicates with all stakeholders about school events and programs in a timely manner.
- Reports regularly to campus admin team, district officials on the progress of campus goal attainment.
- Meets regularly with stakeholders and keeps meeting minutes
- Completes Texas OnCourse trainings during his/her first year
- Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the district.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.
- Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software, calculator, copy machine and telephone.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
- Ability to use effective interview techniques, effective public speaking skills, and problem-solving skills
