**Professional Development Instructors**

**Part-Time**

The Institute for Labor Studies and Research, Cranston, RI, is seeking experienced Instructors to provide professional development training to **RI employees**. These individuals will deliver classroom instruction empowering participants to learn skills they can transfer to their professional settings.

Instructors are needed for the below courses:

- Organization Psychology 101
- Organization Psychology 201
- Cultural Psychology
- Ethics

**Responsibilities**:

- Create curriculum syllabus (unless otherwise provided by ILSR), class material and content focused assessments
- Provide effective lessons - most importantly encouraging student engagement and participation, empowering adult students to integrate learnings immediately to the workplace
- Prepare and manage classroom materials (PowerPoint presentations, handouts, surveys, exams, etc.)
- Experience with in-person instruction or via video conferencing (ZOOM)
- Take attendance each class
- Courses are offered during the day

**Experience**:

- 5-years teaching with adult students
- Prior online teaching preferred

**Education**:

- Masters Preferred

Work Location:

- Cranston, RI

Hours per week:

- Less than 10

Hourly wage:

- $60 per hour

The Institute for Labor Studies & Research provides education and training that enables working Rhode Islanders and the labor movement to have a stronger voice in the workplace and to create a more just and equitable society.
