**The Position**:
Additionally, the Real Property Manager will excel at professional presentation and public speaking. They will be expected to work with a significant amount of autonomy and use discretion and confidentiality with information related to the City's property holdings.

From 1810 to the present, San Bernardino has been recognized for its scenic beauty and strategic location. Today, the City of San Bernardino serves as the county seat and is the largest city in the County of San Bernardino with a population of 222,203.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Minimum Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience**
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in engineering, finance, public or business administration, or a closely related field; and five (5) years of progressively responsible property management and real estate experience, including appraisal and negotiation for acquisition, rental, and sale of real property and right-of way work; or an equivalent combination of related education, training and experience. Supervisory and real property management experience in a public agency is preferred.

**Licenses, Certifications, and Equipment**
**A valid California driver’s license is required.**
Real estate and property management licenses/certifications are desired.
Right of Way Certification is highly desired IRWA (RWA, RWP, SR-WA)

The City offers an attractive compensation and benefit package, that includes:

- ** Retirement - **Participation in the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS). Tier I Employees hired before 10/3/11: CalPERS 2.7% at 55; Classic members with less than 6 months separation: CalPERS 2% at 55, single highest year plan. New members, CalPERS 2% at 62, three highest year average plan.
- ** Health Insurance**
- The City contributes $1,125.00 (Employee Only), $1,377.00 (Employee+1), or $1,841.00 (Employee+Family) for medical, dental and vision premiums.
- Eligible employees who waive all medical, dental, vision, supplemental life, and supplemental AD&D benefits will receive an annual “Health Insurance Waiver Stipend” of $4,000.00 every first paycheck of December.
- ** Leave**
- ** Administrative Leave - 80 hours upon hired, accrued annually July 1 of each fiscal year; 20 hour carry over limit. (FLSA exempt positions only)**:

- Vacation - 80 hours annually, accrued bi-weekly; available for use after one (1) year.
- Sick Leave - 96 hours annually, accrued bi-weekly; available for use after ninety (90) days.
- 13 holidays, plus 18 hours of floating holiday time.
- ** Life & AD&D Insurance** - The City provides Term Life and AD&D Insurance.
- ** Other** - Optional Deferred Compensation Plan, flexible benefits plan, pre-tax childcare plan, employee assistance program, and all other benefits which are received by Management/Confidential unit employees of the City per Memorandum of Understanding.
