**We're looking for an energetic Activity Coordinator that loves interacting with Seniors and those with disabilities**
**Typically the work schedule is Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30 pm. This is based at the Tampa Reservation. You'll also travel on overnight trips in and out of Florida Trips can range 3 to 10 days overnight and it'll be planned in advance.**
- Note that Elder Services does run the community hurricane shelter for the Seminole Tribe so it is required to be able to work the shelters overnight for the duration of the storm._
**Position Summary**
The incumbent in this position is responsible for coordinating and administering a comprehensive activity program to meet the needs, interests, and capabilities of the Seminole Tribe of Florida elderly population. Plans, coordinates and implements daily social, cultural, educational, or recreational activities/programs or services oriented to entertain the Seminole elderly population.
**Qualifications / Requirements**
High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Minimum of one (1) year of experience coordinating programs or working with elderly population is preferred. Possession of a valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL); Class B with a Passenger Endorsement, or ability to secure one during the first year of employment, and subsequently maintain it is required. Annual Physical Exam required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

The Seminole Tribe of Florida is a federally recognized Native American Tribe and sovereign Tribal Government, dedicated to providing high quality care and services to its members who reside on reservations throughout South Florida; Hollywood, Big Cypress, Brighton, Fort Pierce, Immokalee, Tampa and two satellite offices located in Naples and Miami (Trail).
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Application Question(s):
- This position requires one to travel a few times throughout the year in & out of state with the department. Are you available to travel between 3 to 10 nights given notice ahead of time?
- The Elder Services department oversees the community Hurricane Shelter for the Seminole tribe & their families. In the event of an active storm, you may be required to participate in helping run the shelter with pre & post storm shifts, depending on the duration of the storm. Are you able to participate in this while having made alternate arrangements for family members, if needed?
