**Starting annual salary $55,484 commensurate with experience**

**JOB SUMMARY**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Writes clear and concise narrative critical to the success of specific grant opportunities.
- Assists with collecting information through interviews desk research, and other means to support funding proposals.
- Helps research new grant and sponsorship opportunities that align with The Village’s mission.
- Meets all grant reports deadlines, as well as tracks results.
- Proofreads when needed on collateral materials for the department.
- Provides input and support to other projects of the Advancement department, including donor appeals, written communications, presentations to donors, and special projects.

**Experience and Skills**:
**EDUCATION**
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience required.

**EXPERIENCE**
- A minimum of two to three years of demonstrated success in non-profit grant writing. Experience working in a non-profit Development office environment preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communicator, with strong writing, editing, numeracy, and proofreading skills.
- Accomplished project manager with meticulous attention to detail and excellent research and analytical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, including ability to collaborate comfortably across departments and a high tolerance for shifts in priorities and needs.
- Strong relationship-building capabilities, incorporating cross-cultural sensitivity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel with pivot table functionality, and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, small team environment.
