**Job Summary and Qualifications**:
- Competently delivers and documents nursing care to the OB/GYN patient population.
- Initiates and documents patient teaching including family and/or significant others. Uses appropriate Patient Education documentation modality.
- Ensures personal and departmental safety and readiness to respond to emergencies.
- Demonstrates knowledge of gyn and general surgery patients, antepartum, and postpartum patients; and completes all assessments and appropriate interventions according to the unit standards for patients who range in age from menses to geriatric.
- Performs clinical nursing duties according to unit standards and policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates effective decision making and leadership relative to experience level.
**Qualifications**
- Required: Previous OB/GYN or Women’s Health Experience
- Preferred: Previous management or leadership experience
- Current licensure as an RN
- Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
